Introduction:

Dear brothers, this is a new lesson of the series Allah's Laws in His Creations and today's topic is the Law of Security.
1- The grace of security and fullness:

First of all, the utmost two graces Allah has bestowed upon man are the grace of fullness and the grace of security. The proof is in the following Ayah:
﴾(He) Who has fed them against hunger, and has made them safe from fear.﴿

[Quraish, 4]

2- Fear and hunger are Punishments from Allah:

The absolute punishments Allah might punish the corrupted ones with are hunger and fear. Allah the Almighty says:
﴾ And Allah puts forward the example of a township (Makkah), that dwelt secure and well content; its provision coming to it in abundance from every place, but it (its people) denied the Favours of Allah (with ungratefulness). So Allah made it taste the extreme of hunger (famine) and fear, because of that (evil, i.e. denying Prophet Muhammad PBUH) which they (its people) used to do. ﴿

[An-Nahl, 112]

3- Why does man get frightened?

One might ask, "Why does man get frightened?" The answer is that fear is installed in man's nature, and the proof is in the following Ayah:
﴾ Verily, man (disbeliever) was created very impatient; ﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 19]

Fear is something essential in man's creation, and it is for his own interest.

﴾ Verily, man (disbeliever) was created very impatient; ﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 19]

"Haloo' " is the exaggerating form of the adjective impatient, and it indicates great dismay in the Ayah.

﴾ Irritable (discontented) when evil touches him* And niggardly when good touches him* Except those devoted to Salat (prayers)﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 20-22]

4- Establishing a connection with Allah wards off all fears:

The first path to overcome fear and to be cured from it is to establish a connection with Al-Qawi (Al-Mighty), Al-Ghani (The Affluent), Al-Haqq (the Truth) and Al-Adl (The Just). Allah the Almighty says:
﴾Verily, man (disbeliever) was created very impatient* Irritable (discontented) when evil touches him* And niggardly when good touches him* Except those devoted to Salat (prayers)﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 19-22]

However, we should consider the following Hadith:

((Not all those who pray are prayers, as I accept Salat from only those whose Salat make them humble to My Greatness, who do not follow their desires, who do not insist on disobeying Me, who feed the hungry, who cloth up the needy, who are merciful to the injured, and who house the stranger. Only if all are done for my Sake, by My Glory and My Loftiness the light of his face will be to Me brighter than the sun. I will turn his recklessness to patience and darkness to light, and if he supplicates Me, I will answer him, if he asks Me, I will give him, if he swears by My Name, I will respond to him. I will keep him close to Me and let My angels protect him. He is to Me like Paradise whose fruits do not lack and whose state never changes.))

[Ad-Dailami, on the authority of Harithah bin Wahab]

Hence,
﴾Verily, man (disbeliever) was created very impatient﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 19]

The one who fears a lot actually fears for his life, for his provision, for his future, for his career, for his social position and for his reputation. He is a fearful man.

﴾ Irritable (discontented) when evil touches him* And niggardly when good touches him* Except those devoted to Salat (prayers)﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 20-22]

5- Who are Al-Musalloon (those who offer prayers)?

Let me mention again the beginning of the Qudsi Hadith:
((Not all those who pray are prayers,))

[Ad-Dailami, on the authority of Harithah bin Wahab]

So who are the prayers? They are the ones who overcome their fears. Allah the Almighty says:

﴾Except those devoted to Salat (prayers)* Those who remain constant in their Salat (prayers)* And those in whose wealth there is a known right* For the beggar who asks, and for the unlucky who has lost his property and wealth, (and his means of living has been straitened)* And those who believe in the Day of Recompense* And those who fear the torment of their Lord* Verily! The torment of their Lord is that before which none can feel secure* And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts from illegal sexual acts)* Except with their wives and the (women slaves and captives) whom their right hands possess, for (then) they are not to be blamed* But whosoever seeks beyond that, then it is those who are trespassers* And those who keep their trusts and covenants* And those who stand firm in their testimonies* And those who guard their Salat (prayers) well* Such shall dwell in the Gardens (i.e. Paradise) honoured.﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 22-35]

I have made this point clear so many times: The description embraces fewer people as it goes more specific. For example if I say, "Man", this word embraces the entire 7 billion people in the world, but if I say, "A Muslim man", this embraces only one billion and 500 million people, so it embraces fewer people, and if I say, "A Muslim Arab man", this embraces only 400.000 people, and if I say, "An educated Muslim Arab man", this embraces yet fewer people. Thus, the more I add a new description, the fewer the people it embraces will be, such as saying, "A cardiologist who lives in Damascus", and this embraces one or two at most. According to this rule:

﴾Except those devoted to Salat (prayers)﴿

[Al-Ma'arij, 22]

This means that every Muslim in the Muslim World who offers Salah is embraced in "those devoted to Salat."

﴾Except those devoted to Salat (prayers)* Those who remain constant in their Salat (prayers) ﴿

The description is more specific in the following Ayat:

﴾And those in whose wealth there is a known right* For the beggar who asks, and for the unlucky who has lost his property and wealth, (and his means of living has been straitened)* And those who believe in the Day of Recompense* And those who fear the torment of their Lord* Verily!

((Not all those who pray are prayers,))

[Ad-Dailami, on the authority of Harithah bin Wahab]

6- Fear and dismay are in the favor of man's best interest:

The first fact in this blessed meeting is that fear is the utmost sentiment which traumatizes man, because fear is installed in man's nature, but it is for his own interest, do you know how? This fear is like when you own a very expensive, complicated, yet useful machine, which has a tiny fuse (it is like fear in man) inside it, so that it will melt if an excessive current runs in the machine, and this is made by the manufacturers to protect the machine from breaking down.
Who enjoys security?

Dear brothers, Allah the Almighty stresses in the Quran that only one man among mankind shall be granted security. Allah the Almighty says:
﴾ (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know." ﴿

[Al-An'am, 81]

The answer is the following:

﴾ It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm(wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided.﴿

[Al-An'am, 82]

Since Allah's Words are the Words of the Creator of mankind, and He is Trustworthy, then security is granted only to the believer. It is said, "When man fears poverty, then he is already poor, and when man fears diseases, then he is already sick, given anticipating the disaster is the mother of disasters."

﴾ (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know."* It is those who believe ﴿

[Al-An'am, 81-82]

This means that the believer who establishes a connection with Allah the Almighty will never fear anything. Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is Allah (Alone)," and then they Istaqamu, on them the angels will descend (at the time of their death) (saying): "Fear not, ﴿

[Fussilat, 30]

Do not fear the future.

﴾nor grieve! ﴿

[Fussilat, 30]

You should never grieve for the past. Is there a deeper comprehension than this one to this Ayah? Allah the Almighty asks the believer not to fear the future or grieve for the past, and that he should not be saddened about anything. It is well-known that our Master Abu Bakr As-Sideeq, may Allah be pleased with him, never regretted missing any of the matters related to the worldly life.
﴾ "Fear not, nor grieve!﴿

[Fussilat, 30]

Allah assures you in the following Ayah. Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ Say: "Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Maula (Lord, Helper and Protector)." ﴿

[At-Taubah, 51]

﴾ Allah is the Wali (Protector or Guardian) of those who believe. ﴿

[Al-Baqarah, 257]

Dear brothers, the first fact is that the utmost two graces Allah had bestowed upon man are the grace of security and the grace of fullness. A man once said to me when I asked him about his conditions, "Praise be to Allah, everything is fine", and upon asking him about his provision, he answered, "It suffices me", to which I said, "Then you are among those who are included in the Prophet's Du'a (supplication) PBUH", so he was amazed and said, "Did the Prophet PBUH invoked Allah the Almighty against my interests?" I said to him, "Not at all, you got it all wrong, for the Prophet PBUH supplicated, "O Allah, make the sustenance for those who love me sufficient." [Mentioned in relic]." The sufficient provision does not mean poverty, but it means that man is provided with the provision that covers his needs.

((The more you take from this worldly life, the more concerns you will have.))

[At-Tabarani, on the authority of Abi Hurairah]

In another Hadith, the Prophet PBUH said:
((Whoever takes from this mundane life more than what suffices him, unintentionally takes what causes his destruction.))

[Ad-Dailami in Musnad Al-Firdaws, on the authority of Anas]

What is the law of fear?

1- Ash-Shirk is the main reason which brings about fear:

What is the law of fear? Allah the Almighty says in the very clear following Ayah:

﴾ We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allah, ﴿

[Aal-'Imran, 151]

This means that Tawheed brings about security, and that Shirk brings about fear. Accordingly, no matter how powerful the Mushrik (polytheist) is, his heart is always full of fear, and no matter how the believer is weak, his heart is full of security.

﴾ (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know."* It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm(wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided. ﴿

[Al-An'am, 81-82]

Dear brothers, some physicians confirmed in some of their conferences that our ancestors enjoyed good health, but why? According to physicians, the reason is that our fathers and grandfathers used to put lots of physical efforts in their life, and this strengthens health, in addition to the psychological balance they used to have which also brings about good health. Why the rates of diseases increased in our era? In the past strokes used to afflict people in their sixties, seventies and eighties, but nowadays strokes attack young men at the age of 18 and cause man's death or at the age of 20 or 38. The reason behind this paradigm shift is the stress and fear our generations are suffering from.
2- Psychological stress is the outcome of weak Tawheed:

Allah has bestowed upon us a remarkable acquired immunity in our bodies, for it defends our bodies from invading bacteria, infections and cancer. This immune system is strengthened by security and love, but it is weakened by fear and anxiety.
3- Fear might kill man:

The following Ayah indicates that fear might bring man's doom. The proof is in the following Ayah:
﴾Say: "Perish in your rage. ﴿

[Aal-'Imran, 119]

Dear brothers, psychological stress reaches its peak due to Shirk.

﴾ And most of them believe not in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him [i.e. they are Mushrikun -polytheists]. ﴿

[Yusuf, 106]

Such people do not believe that Allah is the Only Disposer of affairs in the universe, so they put their trust in such or such person, and they believe that powerful people are capable of doing what they utter, but they do not have conscience and they do not abide by any values or principles, so the weak person might be crushed by such a way of thinking. However, you should know that Allah the Almighty assures you in the following Ayah (that Allah is the Only Disposer of affairs in the universe):
﴾ And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad PBUH) and put your trust in Him. ﴿

[Hud, 123]

By Allah dear brothers, if you ask even hundreds of doctors about the diseases which are the outcome of fear, anxiety and stress, they will mention countless diseases. Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment* And warn your tribe (O Muhammad PBUH) of near kindred. ﴿

[Ash- Shu'ara, 213-214]

The acquired immunity:

1- How does the immune system work?

The acquired immune system is a true army in the full sense of the word. It has the investigating squad, the fighting squad, the medication manufacturing squad and the service squad. A few seconds after an alien body crosses the first and second defense-lines, white corpuscles speed up towards it. Some of the corpuscles are specialized in taking the chemical code of the enemy and keeping it. Then, they transfer it to the lymphatic centers, where special cells decipher the code for making the required anti-serum. The mission of this squad is over and after the proper anti-serum is made, the fighter cells carry this weapon, i.e. the anti-serum, to fight thereby the alien bodies.
The most amazing thing about this mechanism is its miraculous memory, because it never forgets any weapon it uses against its enemies, even after 70 years or so. In fact, without such miraculous memory vaccination against diseases would have been non-effective.

After the proper anti-serum is made, the fighter cells carry this weapon, i.e. the anti-serum, to fight thereby the alien bodies. After destructing the alien bodies, man will find pus which is none other than the corps of different fighting elements among which are the fighting cells and the alien bodies. Just like any combat, there are casualties, injured and destruction.

Then, the service squad comes to clean the battle field from all the destruction left behind. There is also a fifth squad of that army of white corpuscles, which has been recently discovered, and it is named the "Squad of Commandoes", whose members can discover and devour, very early, the cancerous cells.
2- The impact of the psychological health on the immune system:

The immune system in the human body is strengthened by love and security which is based on Tawheed, and Tawheed is La Ilaha Illa Allah (there is no Deity worthy of worship but Allah Alone).
﴾ And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad PBUH) and put your trust in Him. ﴿

[Hud, 123]

Tahweed is like a 10 story department, and each one of them has 100 employees to do your paper work. However, the final approval is in the hand of the general manager, so it is useless to humiliate yourself before any of these employees (because they do not have the power of approval).

﴾ And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad PBUH) and put your trust in Him. ﴿

[Hud, 123]

﴾ So plot against me, all of you, and give me no respite* "I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving (living) creature but He has grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the Straight Path (the truth). ﴿

[Hud, 55-56]

Dear brothers, having security is priceless, for the believer's heart will be full of tranquility, stability and confidence in Allah the Almighty, whereas the disbeliever might own millions and might be powerful, yet he is fearful. The proof is in the following Ayah:

﴾ We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allah, for which He had sent no authority; ﴿

[Aal-'Imran, 151]

Hence, as Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment.﴿

[Ash- Shu'ara, 213]

By the way, it is rather thousands times impossible that Allah will abandon you (if you put your trust in Him) and leave you to others, because He orders you to worship Him Alone, so if you claim that this or that person owns your affairs, and so you are just trying to avoid his anger, Allah never accepts your claims:

﴾ And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad PBUH) and put your trust in Him. ﴿

[Hud, 123]

This is Tawheed:

Dear brothers, faith is all about Tawheed, and "The slaves of Allah have never learnt anything better than Tawheed." Furthermore, unless you are Muwahid, you will not be considered a believer. Believing in Allah's Existence is not enough, for even Iblis (the devil) believes in Allah's Existence, as he said:
﴾"By Your Might,﴿

[Saad, 82]

He also said:

﴾ "Allow me respite till the Day they are raised up (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." ﴿

[Al-A'raf, 14]

In another Surah he said:

﴾ You created me ﴿

[Al-A'raf, 12]

Thus, he believed in Allah as the Creator. Well, even the idolaters say:

﴾ "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." ﴿

[Az-Zumar, 3]

Accordingly, Tawheed means security, Salah and righteousness.

Conclusion:

Dear brothers, fear and anxiety are unsheathed swords which threaten man, so the one whose Tawheed is weak will resort to hypocrisy due to his fear for his position, provision and the budget he is given by the powerful. Therefore, you should know that the one whose Tawheed is weak is subject of collapsing, so he resorts to hypocrisy, unlike the believer who does not dissimulate, compromise or fear anyone.

﴾Allah is the Wali (Protector or Guardian) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light. But as for those who disbelieve, their Auliya (supporters and helpers) are Taghut [false deities and false leaders, etc.], they bring them out from light into darkness. ﴿

[Al-Baqarah, 257]

Dear brothers, Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is Allah (Alone)," and then they Istaqamu, on them the angels will descend (at the time of their death) (saying): "Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised! "We have been your friends in the life of this world ﴿

[Fussilat, 30-31]

If the Creator of the heavens and earth is your Wali, will you doubt that anyone can hurt you? Who can defeat you if Allah supports you? Who can support you if Allah abandons you? A scholar said, "O Lord what possibly anyone will miss if he finds You, and what possibly anyone will gain if he loses You?"

Dear brothers, Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ So plot against me, all of you, and give me no respite* "I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving (living) creature but He has grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the Straight Path (the truth). ﴿

[Hud, 55-56]

Without Tawheed you will not be able to feel the meaning of security, tranquility and submission to Allah. As I have just said, "The slaves of Allah have never learnt anything better than Tawheed."

People in the worldly life belong to two groups; the first group includes the people who believe in Allah and offer Tawheed, and the second group includes the people who are afraid and who are Mushrikeen. This rule is applicable to individuals, nations, countries and even children, for the righteous man is granted security by Allah.

Abdullah bin az-Zubair was once playing with other children when Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, passed by. The children, struck with awe, ran away and dispersed. Only Abdullah bin az-Zubair remained, attracting thus Umar's attention. He asked, "Why did you not flee with those who fled, child?" He answered, "O Emir (Commander of the Believers), you are not an oppressor, so that I should fear your oppression; nor am I guilty of anything to fear your punishment; and the road is wide enough for you and me."

Dear brothers, believe it or not, if security is the only outcome of Salah and faith, it is enough for man, because when fear is casted into the hearts of people, it will make them lie, cheat and dissimulate people, and it will bring about psychological complexes in their personalities which will weaken thereof.

Dear brothers, the second law in this series is the law of security, and the key Ayah of this law is the following:

﴾ (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know."* It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm(wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided. ﴿
